Discombobulation

So I'm using latex for my paper and for some reason I cant get the references to work out for me. I didn't have a latex editor so I used overleaf. There's some problems with it but for the most part they are just a little unuser friendly.  So I downloaded texmaker and I don't know how to use it but I'm going to toy with it.
